Adoption

In the State of California there are over 55,000 children in the child welfare system in California. Almost 6,000 of these children will need adoptive homes. One of these children needs you. Families Uniting Families is a full service State of California licensed (LIC #197806407) adoption agency that is authorized to service the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego. We are able to dually prepare resource families to both foster and adopt to ensure to our greatest ability that the child’s safety, well being and permanence needs are supported.

Families Uniting Families will recruit and prepare prospective adoptive parents for children who are awaiting adoption. Prospective applicant adoptive families, now known as “resource families”, will complete an application packet, attend an orientation, take a series of preparation classes, prepare their home in accordance with state and county regulations, and receive a thorough home study assessment/evaluation. All of these measures are required to properly vet the family to ensure optimal fit for this vital role.

• Having the ability to advocate for children

• Becoming part of a team

 

We can also accept a child for them to be placed in one of our pre-screened adoptive homes if you are interested in relinquishing your rights.
