"Being part of the Project Fatherhood Internship program was an incredible learning experience. I had the opportunity to work directly with fathers and mothers who are involved in the system, gaining a deeper understanding of their challenges and strengths and how to better support them. The program helped me grow both personally and professionally, improving my communication skills, empathy, and confidence in working with diverse populations."

"During my time as a Social Work Intern at Project Fatherhood, part of my role focused on case management and facilitating parenting groups for fathers with DCFS involvement, which immediately deepened my knowledge of the family court systems and barriers. I significantly honed my abilities in client assessment and advocacy, which are crucial for this field. The culture at Project Fatherhood is exceptional, the staff are genuinely passionate, mission-driven, and highly supportive of an intern's growth. Getting to know the clients, building community within the parenting groups, and receiving dedicated mentorship made this the most rewarding part of my educational and professional journey. This internship is invaluable and I highly recommend it for anyone passionate about social justice and family advocacy.
